Kimberly Lund, DO is a board-certified family medicine physician with a strong interest in comprehensive health care for the entire family. She is a compassionate clinician who emphasizes educating her patients about their health, and encourages them to be active participants in their care. She completed undergraduate studies at Rutgers University in New Jersey, and then osteopathic medical school at A.T. Still University in Missouri. She joined the Army on a Health Professions Scholarship, which brought her to Hawaii in 1997 to do her residency at Tripler. She attained board certification in Family Medicine while serving as the chief resident, and then went on to serve as the brigade flight surgeon at Schofield Barracks. She then returned to Tripler to teach on the residency staff. She served 8 years on active duty, and then entered private practice in Honolulu for the next four years. Having lived on windward Oahu since coming to Hawaii, Dr. Lund yearned to serve the community in which she resided. This desire led to opening Trade Winds Family Medicine in Kailua in 2009 where she currently serves as medical director. Dr. Lund’s depth of experience has afforded her the ability to offer her patients access to a wide range of care at one location. Scope of care at Trade Winds includes primary care for all ages, newborn to seniors, men and women, gynecologic care, chronic disease management, disease prevention, and much more.
