Breastfeeding Support Question & Answer
Both moms and moms-to-be can greatly benefit from breastfeeding support with our lactation counseling, Elicia. Whatever your status, our lactation consultant is here to help moms through their breastfeeding journey.
Elicia provides breastfeeding support to both new and experienced moms by answering questions and advising on all sorts of issues. Some moms have had no problems breastfeeding their first baby but are having problems breastfeeding their second child. This is not surprising as all babies are different. Don’t feel embarrassed or intimidated to talk to her. There are no “silly” or “stupid” questions.
Breastfeeding is a beautiful experience for moms and babies, but sometimes there are breastfeeding issues that make the experience difficult. Here is a list of the most common problems:
- Breast Engorgement
- Poorlatch
- Flat or Inverted Nipples

- Pregnant patients who are currently enrolled with Trade Winds for their primary care are eligible to receive this service
- Plan to establish care with your baby at our clinic in 1-3 days after birth.
Elicia can provide lactation support for moms, before and after having your baby, during any stage of breastfeeding, from beginning to end. It starts with breastfeeding education and prenatal planning for breastfeeding, followed by providing breastfeeding tips and helping to solve any problems, and ending with balancing life with breastfeeding. We are with you every step of the way, troubleshooting lactation issues and providing reassurance and moral support
